Drift Belt De-Watering Chute - Tier 1 Underground Coal Mine In QLD
Below we have a collection of videos from the commissioning/start-up of a recently installed Cove Engineering de-watering chute.
This Cove inline de-watering chute design is the standard approach for other tier 1 miners in the region.
Cove designed the de-watering chute complete with tripper, load station and associated belt regrading structure, implemented in an existing drift belt without the need for additional drive power.
This de-watering chute features a new development that includes capturing both primary and secondary streams to maximise the water removal from the belt.
The de-watering chute and structure was installed successfully in a 3-day outage.
